If we could feel the true closeness of others, all struggles and fights would immediately stop. After all, who in his right mind would hurt another if he experienced that person as part of himself? Well that’s exactly how it is! We are a field of energy and happiness and suffering experienced by any of us are experienced by all others. If we are open, the suffering of others gives rise to compassion (a deep sense of “you are like me and it hurts”), if not, we violently reject it. In both cases we do feel it. (more…)
