Nobody hurts us – our emotions do. This is not an absolute truth, of course. But a pretty much truth anyway. It is not the actual harm that is done to us that matters, but just how much we allow it to hurt us.
Other’s mistakes are their problem, for they will have to live with the consequences. Our job is to work with our emotions, not feeding negative thoughts and emotions like pets.
If we consider difficult situations in life as a opportunity for training our mind, slowly we will become strong warriors, ready to truly embrace the bodhisattva path.
